For those of you whoâve lost a really good partner to a lay off, how did you move forward?
Bud Light sponsoring that disgusting UFC White House stunt 𤎠Their logo in the background of that racist transphobic guy screaming âMichelle Obama is a manâ. I never drank that piss when they were âpro prideâ anyway but still gross to see.
Am I the only one struggling to find a fully remote design job these days? I'm a graphic designer with experience in branding, editorial design, motion graphics and digital content. I've been applying for remote roles across Europe for months, but most opportunities are now hybrid, location-restricted, or incredibly competitive. I don't even need a huge salary. I just want the freedom to work remotely and be part of an international team. Any advice from people who made it happen recently?
Third time GALE gets in touch offering something. The same recruiter. They ended up ghosting me last two without a single real interview apart from the recruiter call. This time they don't even know we've spoke before. For a company with such a low level creative output, they really aren't helping their chances.
I have absolutely crippling anxiety about getting laid off. I have felt this way at every job Iâve held. Iâm not bad at my job. Dare I say Iâm even pretty good at it, with the hardware to prove it. Iâm an ACD and Iâm terrified these insecurities will eventually stall me out before I reach CD. How do I get over it?
Billing
Activation=trying to get a consumer to act, after experiencing/sampling the product. As in, the consumer would sign up or buy it right there. Itâs usually tied to some kind of event. Nowadays itâs used to mean âexperientialâ which is sometimes technically incorrect if thereâs no action the consumer can take towards a purchase after the experience. But if you point it out, people will think youâre pedantic.
ACTIVATE THE SENSES
So... direct response? I mean, isnât all advertising technically âactivationâ of some sort? That award category feels as tacked-on as it gets. And thatâs saying something.
I was going to say that. Itâs a sexy new way of saying âdirect response"
We're activating brand affinity on an emotional level in order to speak truth to shared values and spark social conversations between brands and their followers in order to create a more inclusive society where people of all races genders religions and political views feel safe and welcomed and valued. That. Or just selling shit. It's definitely one of those two things.
