What's your weaknesses - interview question.
How long from your application do you wait before you give up on getting an interview? With all the automated everything these days, why the heck are so many companies ghosting applicants??
If you are having an in-person interview, you should arrive early. This is common sense. Then, would it be the same if you're having a Zoom interview? I always debate internally about whether I should join earlier or not. The first ensures that everything is working (but I'd hope not to catch the interviewers too early). What's the best approach?
I have an interview tomorrow. How would you answer the question “why are you looking to leave your current job? “ it’s a lateral move and similar industry but it’s toxic. I have had this job a year.
Does anyone draw a complete blank at interviews? From the time they say "So tell me about yourself" I go into fight or flight mode. It as if they're asking me about someone else's life. They say don't try to memorize your answers, but I have no other choice. I sturdy all these stories and intro's about myself and still can't remember. I don't know what to do. I have had at least 4 interviews and at each one I rambled and didn't get the job.
In an interview when you are asked, what is your salary expectations?how can one respond to this kind of a question?
"Tell us about a time when you made a mistake" This question tripped me up, nearly killed me on one of my earlier interviews. Actually probably does kill my chances. I'm human, And I know I have made mistakes in my professional and personal life. But because I have so many cross checks in place I don't have anything substantial that I can share with them. Management hasn't had to run around and freak out on me about anything major in my career. And in 12 years of Real Estate, not only did I have cross checks in place but thankfully I had brokers that would oversee my transactions. So this is the one I struggle with the most. That being said. I did get asked this question on my most recent interview, I was able to offer a weak example about transposing numbers on a software install patch, and I said the lesson I learned from that was to never manually input again and just cut and paste moving forward. They seemed to accept it. And thankfully I just wrapped up accepting the job this past Monday. ❤️🙏🏻
