I'm tired, depressed and exhausted from the continuous search for Junior job position. Parents are getting old and I feel like I'm dragging them down instead of supporting them. For the past year I have been looking for a job but met with either rejection or ghosting. I get freelancing jobs once in a while but they are not enough to pay the bills. So, if there is anyone that can help me get a job please don't hesitate. I'm in a dire situation right now.
Any tips on staying positive during salary compression? I'm happy for the new hires getting competitive market rates, but it's hard knowing they have less experience and almost the same paycheck.
Would you rather? Work fully remote for £10k less....or.... commute three days a week for £10k more. I keep trying to calculate the true value of flexibility and I still cannot decide.
What's your goal for the next five years? Mine is to increase my salary by 50% and I actually think it's possible.
I am seeing a lot of job ads in the UK that do not list the salary range at all. It feels like a total waste of my time to apply without knowing the pay. Tempted to start boycotting applications that hide the salary. Thoughts?
What's the university?
🤷... And?
