Hey I'm looking for some advice. I feel completely trapped at my current job. I am honestly so miserable going to work every day and don't think I can sustain whats being expected of me. I feel like I don't even have the energy to job search because my job is so draining AND on top of that the job market sucks so much right now idk if its even worth it. Does anyone have any advice?

I just had a 1-on-1 where my boss told me I’m too efficient and it’s making the rest of the team look bad. I finish my points in three days and then spend the rest of the week working on side projects, and apparently, that’s disrupting the sprint velocity expectations. I’m being told to slow down and be more of a team player. Should I sandbag my work to fit in, or is this a sign I’m in the wrong pond?

What is the dress code for woman in tech? It feels like it is really casual for men in the office but I think it is still a double standard for women to dress up more.

What would you choose? Job 1: stay at legacy enterprise software giant in marketing director IC role with terrible boss but high base salary and remote? Lots of process, things move slowly, no mobility. Good work life balance, bad for mental health and feeling fulfilled at work. Been there 2 years. Job 2: join cloud native Saas company, similar role senior IC in marketing, much smaller team and number of employees, lower base salary but much higher equity, stock doing well? Boss seems nicer

Has anyone else in Tech been laid off in the last 6 months and having trouble finding a new job? I have over 20 years with a telco company

Went into the L&T chairman comment instead, why is it that everyone is quick to jump to it was taken out of context, but then never wants to explain that context? There used to be a time where workers were taken care of when things were going well, don’t see that anymore except for at the tip top.
You really don't like your CEO, huh?
