How can I improve my tech knowledge? I only know CMS like WordPress, Javascript, HTML, CSS and PHP. I found myself working on the same tech from 10 years ago. I need to study but I don't know what. I am interested in Cyber security and Robotics.

I just received a job offer that is a massive step up in title and salary, but the online reviews for the teamās culture are absolutely terrifying. Half the Glassdoor reviews mention high turnover and a toxic leadership style, while the interviewers themselves seemed incredibly stressed out during our calls. The extra $30k a year would change my financial life. Would you take a risk on a known toxic environment?
I just found out I didnāt get the promotion that I was certain I would get. Iām feeling very emotional about it. For those who have experienced this, what are the next steps? What should I do and what should I not do?
I had two interviews this week and one screening call but I still don't feel confident that i will reach the next round. I have 20 years experience working with infrastructure (physical hardware) but have a AWS cloud practitioner Certification. The jobs seem more based on Workflow, process, new technologies. Yes, I can do those things but i fear my experience in those areas are not as prominent than another person. I feel stuck in a place I want to transition out of. How do i break out?
Our CIO is pushing us to learn a programming language that no one has heard of. He used it in his old job. One looked into it and found that no company or government agency in my state used it. It doesn't appear in TIOBE Index. It doesn't appear in Stack Overflow's to programming language. My colleagues and I see this as a huge career limitation. What can we do about this?
Do you think AI will ultimately make society more equal or more unequal? Why?
Is going back to school or taking some online courses an option for you? I really think you might benefit from earning a certificate or two. Doing this will not only help you enhance your current knowledge base but these technical certificates will look great on your resume and help you land a really amazing job. Good luck to you š
Depending on your preferred career path, frontend or backend, you should focus on core technologies that are currently in demand, that being react/tailwind/vue, typescript, etc and Go, MySQL, etc, some of these you may already know but by following what the job market asks for will help filter out the list of what to learn, of course learning and practicing with these technologies by working through problems you will definitely improve your skills.
