Change in leadership (CEO) in 2022 was the start of the Chapter’s downfall. By 2023 it was apparent that if you were not 100% in lockstep with the CEO on how things needed to be managed or changed, your days were numbered. While you were not fired outright, poor and incomplete communication often left those individuals in the dark with feelings of frustration and confusion as to “why”.

Working as a Wish Coordinator at Make-A-Wish Foundation was immensely rewarding. It enhanced my communication, empathy, and organizational skills. Contacting hospitals, connecting with sponsors, and fulfilling children's wishes were highlights of the role, leaving a lasting impact on both me and the families involved.

Despite working online and feeling excluded from the main office team at times, the experience at Make-A-Wish Foundation provided valuable opportunities for autonomy, flexibility, and skill development.
