How does a hydrocyclone work?
Anonymous
A hydrocyclone works by using the centrifugal force of a swirling liquid to separate particles from a fluid stream, with the heavier particles moving to the outer wall and the lighter particles moving towards the center. This separation is achieved through a conical or cylindrical chamber with a tangential inlet and two outlets, one for the separated solids (underflow) and one for the clarified liquid (overflow).
