Rather than viewing competencies, potential and value, they look for very specific responses, ie a specific approach/method they use "using excel to track projects." When there's really all kinds of methods to track a project or manage tasks, its not the method thats important your execution and results that matters. Companies that value competencies, potential and value use a STAR (situation task action result).
