Timed take-home coding challenge: build a full-stack workation management application in 2.5 hours using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and SQL. Submitted via private GitHub repo. Evaluated on completeness, architecture, code quality, and testing.

Delivered a fully working application with clean architecture, modern frontend patterns, and a comprehensive test suite covering unit, integration, and end-to-end scenarios. The engineering team reviewed the code in detail and left generally positive written feedback with only minor style suggestions — no bugs, no broken features. Despite this, I was rejected the next day citing English skills. The technical bar was clearly met; the rejection came from somewhere else entirely.
