Interviewed for the EE position at San Jose on 4/1/20 (1 st April). Have not heard yet on any offer possibility from HR. Did anyone receive offer recently for the EE position at San Jose? If you heard back from HR, please mention your interview date. Thanks.

I received another email referring me again for the Computer Science GS 07/09 in Alexandria,VA. Therefore, I emailed hr and asked why was I receiving this email again and they responded with: I apologize for the confusion. There were 2 cut-off dates for this announcement. You were in the first cut-off group. The selecting officials have made selections from that group but they are delaying telling HR until we can figure out how we will on-board those hires virtually. So you may have been interviewed previously, you may have even been selected but since we do not know who was selected we referred all the names from the first and second cut-offs.

I applied for the Patent Examiner- Computer Science area.

Does anyone know that applicant will receive a notification if interview failed for patent examiner?

I just got "Referred not Selected" for Grade 09 and "Not Selected for Cut Off Dates" for Grade 07. Do you have any experience to receive this message? I am not sure I am in a good position for the next cut-off round. Do you have any thoughts or opinions? I feel a little frustrated and confused.

I also got the same exact emails. I think they just put you in the next round of selections for another try against that pool of applicants.

Yes, ME. Interviewed April1. Contacted HR, decisions were made last week. Probably making selections this week.

I got an email "Application Received" which I received before. It is strange to me. Any thought?

I received that too last week but didn't give it much thought since it's still says referred on the USAJOBS website

it may be that your application wasn't selected for this cycle but you were automatically resubmitted for the next cycle? However, I haven't received anything from USPTO since my Interview confirmation for 4/1 and the email responses from HR for selection updates.

I got another email "Not Selected for Cut Off Dates" for Grade 09, again. I think they put me in next round for Grade 09 again. So this means I need to wait another 7~10 weeks?

I also received "Referred not Selected" and "Not Selected for Cut Off Dates", it sounds like automatic consideration for the next round. But I don't know if they ask for another interview or not. I hope it doesn't take another 7-10 weeks.

I was told I don't need to take another interview if I am moved to the next cut-off.

Don’t know if I should expect a new interview ... I interviewed on 2/20 for BME, wasn’t selected. Last week, I was referred for ME, Will my 2/20 interview count? Or I may be invited to interview for this technology center soon? Thx!

On 4/1/20 interviewed for EE at SJ. Have not heard back yet. Talked to HR yesterday. They said the selection committee has finalized the names of the candidate who will be offered a position but HR does not have the list yet. Looks like they are in the process of finalizing the virtual on-boarding of the folks who will be hired. HR said we may hear any day now. Seems like folks who interviewed for Virginia location, have been communicated already. I had applied for the BME SJ and contacted HR. I had not heard as well, she said I was not selected for the position and they were in the process of sending emails and updating status, as they had selected the candidates already. I am still waiting on DC.

I have just recently graduated with a BSE in Biomedical and a masters in legal (patent focus) just wondering if I even meet the qualifications having no industry experience. Do those that have been offered positions, have industry experience or advanced degrees in engineering?

For closing date 6/25/2020: is there another cutoff to hold some hope? or those not selected up to this point are done?

I have only gone through 1 round of these, but I was contacted a month after the closing date for an interview. I was not selected but the closing date, as I understand it, is not the end of the process. Follow your updates on USAJOBS

There is one more cut-off date after 06/25/20. The HR told me that.

I am NOT selected but, at the same time, I received the email regarding the cut-off date. I guess another chance is still alive.

Has anybody that was not selected for a cutoff date got selected later for another cutoff?? I just wanna know if still have any hope!
