Get to know the organization. Meet with department heads. Meet with manager and get a clear understanding of the business objectives and risk appetite. Determine what the organization’s overall risk profile looks like. Discuss some of the challenges in obtaining coverage with current brokers and review the org’s upcoming initiatives and projects and how I can contribute as a new manager.
