They assist with managing company technical needs. They provide internal tech support and also offer technical expertise to various departments across the organization. Depending on the role, their duties may include customer relations or tech support and they may have direct interaction with users or customers.

Technical staff professionals typically have a bachelor’s degree in a computer science field and a background in tech support, programming, or other IT roles. They should have hands-on experience installing and maintaining technical equipment and systems. These professionals must be highly organized and detail oriented.   • Contribute to technical and product discussions within the team.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
  • Support existing production code and improve performance and customer experience.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development cycle as part of a Scrum team.
  • Build solutions that will help us deliver an industry leading security product to our customers.

  • Collaborate with product management, DevOps, backend, and front-end engineers to deliver the right solution.
  • Debug customer reported issues in the production environment and provide workarounds or fixes in a timely manner.
  • Produce software design and execution for new use cases for virtual machines management.
  • Identify and remediate gaps in current automated tests, reducing technical debt.
  • Implement full-stack solutions for agile user stories using test-driven design with decent code coverage, deployed over CI/CD.
  • Investigate and reproduce complex bugs using logs from several infrastructure components.
  • Work as a member of the production engineering team to understand and close testing gaps.
  • Develop automated tests using Python and pytest to increase test coverage.
  • Participate in engineering-wide planning to reduce cross-team dependencies and get visibility into why features are being developed.

Qualifications for Technical Staff

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in engineering, material sciences, computer science, or electric engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Can participate in all Agile ceremonies including the daily SCRUM.
  • Fluency in JAVA, Saas, Linux, Javascript, C, C#, and API software and systems.
  • Familiar with full stack development and cloud computing.
  • Experience with cloud software and cloud computing.
  • Experience with test automation and VMWare VSphere.
  • Comfortable with algorithm design, debugging, computing, and operating systems.
