      Description The "we" in We Energies is Wisconsin Electric and Wisconsin Gas, the regulated power and gas distribution utilities of parent Wisconsin Energy. We Energies supplies more than 1.1 million electricity customers and almost 1.1 million natural gas customers in Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan. The company also provides steam to about 460 downtown customers in Milwaukee. We Energies' power plants have a generating capacity of almost 6,000 MW. The power utility's primary sources of electric energy are coal-fired plants and natural gas-powered plants, although it is also ramping up its renewables sources.
