Mercer University Snapshot
Mercer University covers a lot of Georgia, with one campus in Macon, another in Atlanta, and a third in Savannah. The main campus in Macon includes the Walter F. George School of Law (one of the nation's oldest law schools), while The Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional campus in Atlanta includes schools of theology, pharmacy, and nursing. Savannah is home to a new four-year M.D. program at the Mercer School of Medicine at Memorial University Medical Center. The university, which has a total enrollment of more than 8,000 students, also has educational centers in Douglas County, Henry County, and Eastman. Mercer was founded in 1833 by Jesse Mercer, a prominent Georgia Baptist.
