Pros

Great culture and lots of opportunities. I've been able to develop personally and professionally in more ways than I would have anticipated when I first joined the company. I am constantly being pushed beyond my comfort zone to learn and develop. The CEO and executive team care deeply about their employees and their clients.

Cons

It can feel like there are a lot of changes, but nothing more than a typical start-up.

The "Uber" for Accounting and HR services

Pros

I joined a few months ago and originally to work for Scalus (workflow automation software) that powers BackOps. Recently we merged as one company because selling a solution -- both the service delivery as well as the platform to run a company's accounting and HR services was more strategic. There is a real opportunity here to grow the business and become the "Uber" for accounting and HR. I was initially attracted to the CEO's mission to bring a million moms (and dads) back to work by building a marketplace for a remote workforce and connecting them to start-ups and other SMBs. What I've seen is that the entire team at BackOps is passionate about their work and I am genuinely excited to come to work everyday.

Cons

As with most fast growing start-ups, there will be challenges executing. Budgets will be tight this year and expectations are super high. There is pressure to do a lot this year.

We are actively working on improving how the remote workforce works with HQ and are looking forward to sharing these changes with the team! So keep an eye out! Thanks again for your feedback.

Inspiring Company with a Great Mission

Pros

This company has a big mission -- bring one million moms back to work. Founder and CEO Kristen Goldstein is an inspiration to all working moms. She's the real deal. Super smart, hard working, dedicated, and committed to building a future where women don't have to compromise between work and family because they have professional opportunities during their child rearing years. There is a great vibe in the office and among the community of remote workers. You feel like you're building the future of work.

Cons

Like any startup there are ups and downs. There are also challenges to building a successful remote workforce.
