great environment, friendly people, excellent location and interesting opportunities of studying different areas of a campaign
Cons
long days and hours, especially during primary times where most of the employees are required to work 6 days a week, morning to evening

Really really amazing experience-- I worked with great people and learned a lot about communications. Lots of fantastic campaign staff to learn from and keep in contact with.
Cons
Campaigns are pretty much always unpaid, and this one was no exception. I worked full time for the campaign and didn't earn anything, which is fine in state offices, but for interns at the Brooklyn headquarters is just ridiculous.
Advice to Management
Make sure your interns always feel engaged and connected to the work they're doing. Also, give some suggestions about stuff to read up on during the slow weeks.
