Pros

You can earn extra cash if they grant you the shift or if they do not decide to cancel it al last minute.

Cons

Basically there is no way one can get in touch with them. The app. is horrible as it offer you the job and then it take it off from you without even being advised and they do not pay for that while if you are the one cancelling your shift they claim the money from you. Honestly, you never know when the shift is confirmed. There is no track on the app. so you cannot even claim it. Also when sent to work in a venue you do know what your rights are in terms of tips(employers never share them with you); break; food and drink entitlement (happened to work in venue where they did not provide for you even water or food for a shift lasting 8 h). Plus the pay is not so good as they claim basically they pay you minimum wage so it is better to find a part time job in a restaurant which will pay you the same plus tips and with entitlement to at least drink. So good from far but far from good!!

As a Syfter, we appreciate your feedback and would like to take this opportunity to address a number of points that you raise. Regarding our Support channels, we make it clear that our workers can easily contact us on 02033225678 or support@syftapp.com any time. Furthermore, through verification, we can determine eligibility for a role before you choose it, thus avoiding removing Syfters from shifts as you are accusing us of. Our app is constantly under development to introduce new and exciting features for our workers; one of these shows when you have confirmed a job to work - this feature has been in the app for a number of years now. Tips, breaks, food & drinks are down to the employer but legal requirements offer workers breaks after set periods worked. Finally, regarding pay, Syft provides its workers with the highest starting rate per hour at £9 p/h compared to our competitors who offer less. Couple this with an attractive benefits package after 3 shifts worked that other agencies do not offer and you can see how Syft is always trying to support and promote its workers.

Pros

Working at Indeed Flex was a time I would never give back. I got the chance to work alongside some of the brightest and most driven people in the business. When I started, we had a lot of autonomy and trust in how our team could make a different and to try new things. I also had the room to grow within my career and promise of more opportunities down the line.

Cons

After my first two years, the company quickly shifted. Working at Flex in it's current culture is a competitive burnout factory where if you are not working yourself to the bone, you are not appreciated by upper management or respected. Be prepared to have your work unfairly scrutinized by people who do not understand your role, and to have any mistake you make immediately used against you. Flex was once a place of true open-mindedness and is now a place where the nastier you are, the more you are rewarded. Also, senior management will change company goals and restructure teams at least twice a year if and when goals aren't met. Which lead to constant confusion and rework.
