      Lots of practice in troubleshooting and playing with equipment; chance of making complete decisions on network design, plan and implementation

      Cons

      No career progression; each ST usually stays with their set of clients for as long as you decide to move. Pay is below standard. There is hardly any chance of moving to corporate.
