Linkbuilder is a company that exemplifies exactly why I got into freelancing. They generally let you work your own hours, and they're always open to ideas from team members. They recognize value of workers and share constructive criticism when necessary. There's a tacit agreement that if you're doing your job, they aren't breathing down your neck. Its a great environment for the freelancer individual. Also its a multicultural / international team, so you have coworkers from around the world. It makes "water cooler" convos really interesting, learning about each other's backgrounds and cultures.

There's no campus with free daycare, massages, juice bars, yoga classes, etc.
