Pros
I love the staff that I work with and I love our residents. Your time is not micro-managed within the facility. Management is friendly and receptive, for the most part. My direct team is excellent and my immediate supervisor is simply the best. The activities department is the best one that I have ever worked with in this type of facility.
Cons
Upper management is making policies that are very difficult to live with, such as putting any sick time you have left at the end of the year into a bank that you can not get to unless you are out for more than 3 days and use up all other time you have. This way, when you resign, they do not have to pay you for it. Productivity must be met, even at your expense. We took a pay cut 3 years ago and have not received an increase since. However, the company is still buying new buildings. There is just a feeling of general disrespect for the working staff at this point.
