Pros
Honestly, the culture here is amazing. The people are great, super friendly, and easy to get along with; you can really make lifelong friends. Management is understanding and actually listens, which makes a big difference. You can speak your mind without feeling uncomfortable.
Work-life balance is solid; there’s no overwork culture, and they genuinely care about your personal time and well-being. There are opportunities to learn and grow, and if you’re motivated, you can move up pretty fast, even without a ton of experience.
The pay is good for Medellín standards. Overall, it’s a fun environment, and the team dynamic has always been strong, both before and after the pandemic. This company can really help kickstart your career.
Cons
The biggest issue is the product. There are a lot of long-standing problems that haven’t been fixed, which means you’re often dealing with frustrated clients complaining about the same things over and over again. That part can get pretty exhausting.
Things also move slowly when it comes to improvements, so you need a lot of patience. Product decisions tend to come more from senior leadership than from actual customer needs, which can be frustrating.
There’s also some inconsistency in pay between foreigners and locals in Colombia, and at times it can feel like there’s a bit of favoritism.
