They have allowed me to pursue my gifts/talents and support my professional growth. The company is really expanding into lots of new and innovative areas, and I am excited to be part of that. Flexible with work schedules - awesome for balancing family obligations.
Cons
Communication and sense of community is sometimes tough because we have lots of locations, but there have been lots of new initiatives to overcome this and build company culture. For example, the weekly lunch and learn is fun and shows investment of upper management in all employees.
I worked my way up from Junior Project Manager to the VP, and now beyond. Never have I encountered another company that gives such complete latitude to grow and create than here at IEI. I've been with the company for 15 years and couldn't imagine working anywhere else.
Cons
We have grown really quickly over the last 8 years and because of that have not always had the best work life balance for our employees, but we're working to fix that. We understand that people have lives outside of work, there does have to be a balance and employees need personal down time for mental wellbeing.
