Pros
You will rarely find an organization that employees love as much as they love Medic. The passion with which people show up to work every day is unique and humbling. There is always something interesting to do and learn, and professional development opportunities are endless. Good salary and benefits adjusted to location.
Cons
As a non-profit depending on funding, job security is a sensitive topic. Especially as a contractor, you need to be mentally prepared not to have a job at the end of the year when your contract is due to be renewed. Additionally, aligning and collaborating across multiple timezones and cultures can be challenging. I think the pros are stronger than the cons, but for some people, these things can be very challenging.
