Pros

Busy, fast paced. Lots of room for internal growth. Awesome coworkers and leadership. Group strategic setting where any employee at any level can gain insight.

Cons

I was looking at some of the more recent reviews (I got a notification from when I followed while was applying) and I can see one specifically harsh newer one. I think it’s important to note that recently we have lost a couple of employees who, simply put, were not doing their jobs. I can only assume one wrote the last negative review, based on the specifics listed. The con is that in this industry, it seems common to find people who misconstrue criticism towards their work and the quality thereof for toxicity in the environment. This outlook can spread and bring down morale and make an amazing job feel not so fun. This is certainly a busy job, especially in peak fundraising months, and can be overwhelming for some. However, the knowledge gained is worth every minute.

Pros

The job is super challenging in the right ways. I have never had an issue with talking to my manager, or even dealing with mistakes I've made (even on client facing work) when I've taken accountability. I have also had no issue getting compensated for my work, especially when I have chosen to push myself to work harder at the objectives I created with my manager. We also have a four day work week, which does require each employee to stay on top of deliverables. Occasionally, we have to work on our 5th business day off if there are deliverables, but we are also gifted more PTO than anywhere I've ever worked previously, and we have full health benefits/401k/supplemental/life/etc. Since COVID began, we have been able to work remotely. Before COVID some of our staff opted to work remotely anyways, so the transition wasn't too difficult either.

Cons

It's evident in some of the reviews on here (and having worked at the company for over 4 years now) which ex-employees wrote them based on the cons listed and the way they were presented. Unfortunately, agency life is not a fit for everyone. Some days are longer than others, and sometimes it's unplanned. We are an agency that caters to our clients needs, and sometimes those needs mean that we are working late some days to get something across the line. That being said, they're pretty lenient on days when those needs aren't there. For instance, if you have a doctors appointment, you can just go, and come back after, as long as you communicate with your team. That being said, you have to be on top of your work to be able to communicate your coverage, and, since we are all adults, that responsibility falls on you.
