Pros

1. Autonomy - Nice mix of leaders setting OKRS and teams owning execution with various formal and informal touchpoints 2. Users first - Always a large bias to what the user (writer) would want as CEO is a writer 3. Experiment culture - It's ok to fail here and we use a solid Product Operating Model including evidence based development 4. No Asswholes - Jerks do not seem to be tolerated

Cons

1. Remote work can get quite boring - except when life is full on and this becomes a huge work life balance advantage 2. Similar to the above, limited opportunity for a cheeky Nandos on a Thursday or to chat breeze

Pros

ProWritingAid is a fully remote company, which gives you the freedom to work from wherever you are in the world. This also means I work with people in over 10 countries! Right from the off, I felt trusted to get my work done and to do it well. This means that you can build your hours around your life and work flexibly. Lifting each other and sharing ideas is engrained in the company culture. This is my first job after university, and I've always felt encouraged to share my ideas and get involved. Everyone at ProWritingAid is committed to creating a happy working environment where you get to do what you love. I've had the opportunity to write articles, host webinars, learn new skills and get involved on big projects. I feel challenged every day, and I also have fun every day which is the perfect balance.

Cons

The only con is not being able to meet up with the team in person due to the pandemic, but this is situational. I still feel really connected to the people I work with, and that is testament to the brilliant working environment the company has cultivated.

Pros

ProWritingAid is, and has always been, a remote company. They view it as a core element of the company culture and really support staff who want flexible hours to spend on family and leisure activities. All team members are truly dedicated to the development of an amazing product for writers. Everyone is supportive and collaborative. All ideas are welcome. The company is also dedicated to helping support the skills of team members. They encourage staff to spend paid time on courses, books, and activiies that will help them develop in their roles and take on her responsibilities.

Cons

Covid 19 means that they haven't been able to offer the annual meet up somewhere lovely. In the past, the whole company has travelled to Portugal or Spain to develop relationships and chart a course for the company.
