Pros

You get to lead, ideate, collaborate and execute on various digital experiences. There's no project too big and barriers are expected to be broken. Flexible work/life balance that's best suited for reliable self-starters. Unlimited PTO A very smart and diverse group that are fun to work with and encourage individuality.

Cons

Agencies are fast paced, Propane is no exception. Expect 2-3 project tracks moving at the same time, it can be difficult to manage if you're not organized. Remote working has changed the culture slightly, mostly missing out on good office vibes.

Pros

Propane is a place where you can have direct impact on the bottom line, culture, and success of the entire company -- it's literally all how you treat the opportunity of being there. If you're optimistic, curious, and a problem solver you can build a portfolio 50 projects deep in 2 years, have real impact on how health care, technology, and even the San Francisco Symphony market, operate and innovate. If you have a vision for how you want to do your best work -- or even if you need help crafting that vision -- as long as you can align it with the goals and type of work Propane does, working with Propane can be rewarding, challenging, and greatly satisfying.

Cons

Propane has had a long life in San Francisco and as such has seen a lot of people come and go. The Propane of 2012 is very different than the Propane of 2008, which is very different than the Propane of today (2019). With that, the consistency of work and ways of working have shifted. If you want to be successful there, you have to be ready and willing to listen first, understand the past, and then cultivate a vision for your roles and responsibilities to move forward.
