Pros

- Great tech for the utilities industry - Kind colleagues - Rapid growth - Opportunities to speak up and make real change regarding how we work - Ideas are listened to openly and taken into consideration - I trust and respect my boss and dept. leader - A lot of opportunities to grow with endless challenges to solve and advancement - Feedback is given honestly and respectfully

Cons

- Upper management could better involve team members in change - Preaching about timesheets and hours but could spend more time really understanding what's causing all the extra hours/reworking. - We would all benefit from better product training - More facetime and connecting with senior leadership

Pros

- The product genuinely solves real problems in the utilities space and fills a meaningful gap in the market. We have a very compelling growth story and a lot of potential - it's a good time to be here - The people here are genuinely nice and collaborative. My manager has been incredibly supportive and cares about my development. - The leadership team is low ego and seems to spend time focused on the right things (vs. being micromanage-y). - Work-life balance is solid - I am very busy during most days but you are expected to unplug after hours and on PTO. I don't receive slack messages after 5 pm. This is a welcome improvement from other places I've worked. - There is a lot of internal mobility/promotions - this is a double edged sword imo. It's great that this is encouraged here but it also means some of the managers are relatively inexperienced. - If you're resourceful, can roll with change, and aren't afraid to figure things out or propose improvements, you'll do well here. Taking initiative and sharing ideas is noticed and celebrated.

Cons

- We are growing FAST and it shows. Processes change a lot, team structures change, people come and go. The rate of change can be overwhelming. If you need things to stay the same and be predictable, this will drive you crazy. That said, the "what" and "why" of our work stays consistent imo, but the "how" shifts more often. - Depending on the team you're on, you might feel way more impact of growth/changes. Personally I'm somewhat insulated but I can see that other teams bear the brunt of process changes. - The company culture feels modern for utilities tech, but don't expect it to feel like big tech or a cool startup. The culture is professional and supportive but not particularly flashy or cutting edge.
