Pros

Very relaxed working environment! Everyone is so nice and works really hard, but is left to their own devices when getting work done which is really nice.

Cons

Change up the snack selection every few weeks!

A new site that's actually growing

Pros

One of the few journalism outfits that is actually expanding its staff. Traffic is up, and the site is looking to add verticals -- where everyone else these days seems to be cutting back and laying off. The top editors have restored a sense of calm to the newsroom after a period of some pretty extreme volatility -- one of them even came back to TheWrap after leaving a few years ago. Real opportunity for growth. Summer interns have landed full-time jobs -- and gotten promotions.

Cons

The pace is pretty intense. If you're not a news junkie, this might seem a little too intense -- there's a definite period of adjustment if you're not used to breaking news environment.

Pros

I've been employed at TheWrap since last year and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in entertainment news. I get to cover topics that people care about in Hollywood and our ideas for new stories are respected/embraced by our upper management. The Wrap is really evolving and growing this year. We've recently hired top people from the Los Angeles Times, Yahoo and DickClark Productions. Our team is really becoming We were among the first companies to work with Facebook Live and Twitter Amplify .... and we're on track to have our best year ever for traffic and social media growth.

Cons

It's a news organization and that means sometimes you work some pretty intense shifts.
