Hey friends, I’m going to be relocating to Chicago in about a month. I’m currently a freelancer with some remote clients in the coasts, but would like to expand my network to hopefully get local work or maybe go FT. Any pointers or advice for someone new to the Chicago ad scene? Agencies that hire more freelance? Agencies to stay away from? Anyone want to be my friend?

10 YOE international tax. Went from Big 4 to a boutique firm 5 years ago. Def better pay, still long hours but now it’s just doing expat/inpat individual returns, 8621 & 5471. Heavily compliance focused. I miss doing planning/advisory work. Idk if I should take paycut & go back to big4 manager job or stay comfortable

I’m currently unemployed after taking a very long period of sick leave from my most recent job. I’ve always really struggled with education and work, I’m autistic, have ADHD and a plethora of other mental health struggles. I’ve only had one successful job (volunteer role with my mom)The rest have driven me to suicide attempts and severe, dangerous depression,anxiety etc Idk what to do. Im looking for a new job cuz i need the money. But im so scared im going to get dangerously sick again. help!
