They ensure effective front- and back-end functionality of applications and consult with software development teams, internal users, and clients to approve application performance.
Production support analysts manage code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality, establish root causes of application errors, and escalate serious concerns to senior members. They schedule application dates, provide front-end support to clients and colleagues, and other departments and keep records of configuration changes. They document processes and monitor application performance metrics. Production support analysts need a bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or related fields and demonstrable experience as an application support engineer.
