Early Years Manager required at Donhead Preparatory School's Summer Camp!

Join our management team at Camp Beaumont for the Summer holidays. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Manager to lead our Playtime groups this summer at Camp Beaumont. This is a hands-on, rewarding seasonal role where you’ll help create safe, fun, and engaging experiences for our youngest campers every single day.

ABOUT THE ROLE :

As Early Years Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the Playtime group on site during our summer holiday camps. You’ll lead on daily routines, support staff, and ensure children are safe, happy, and fully engaged throughout the day.

You’ll also be the friendly and professional face parents see at drop-off and pick-up, sharing updates and feedback about their child’s day.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Managing daily check-in and check-out of children
• Welcoming parents and providing clear, friendly daily feedback
• Overseeing snack and lunch times to ensure a safe, calm environment
• Setting up, delivering, and packing away fun, age-appropriate activities
• Preparing engaging early years resources and activities for camp sessions
• Supporting children with personal care needs, including toilet routines where required
• Responding to incidents and administering first aid when needed
• Completing observations and spot checks to support safeguarding and wellbeing
• Ensuring high standards of care, safety, and supervision at all times
• Working closely with the wider camp team to keep the day running smoothly

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone warm, organised, and confident who can bring calm leadership to a busy, fun camp environment.

You will have:

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or QTS/QTLS/PGCE), or currently working towards a relevant qualification
• Experience working within Early Years or childcare settings
• Experience leading or supporting a small team
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and awareness
• Excellent communication skills with parents, children, and colleagues
• Confident managing daily routines and supporting young children in a busy environment
• Positive, proactive, and hands-on approach with strong initiative and independence
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children
• Available to work during school holidays (seasonal role)
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable (training can be provided)

REQUIREMENTS

• 18+
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check and two references required
• Early Years/childcare experience essential
