Key Account Manager

Aberdeen, Scotland

Hydrasun is a recognised market leader in the provision of integrated fluid transfer, power and control solutions. We support the global energy transition across oil & gas, renewables, industrial and marine sectors, delivering innovative, high-value solutions worldwide.

Due to organisational growth, we are now looking to appoint a high caliber Sales & Key Account Development professional to drive revenue growth through strategic account management, new business development, and the conversion of high-value opportunities.

This is a key commercial role focused on hunting, developing and expanding major customer relationships, while positioning Hydrasun’s full product and service offering to maximise long-term value.

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

  • Clear, demonstrable experience in Sales, Key Account Development, Account Management or Business Development
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales and revenue targets
  • Highly effective business development (“hunting”) capability
  • Experience developing and managing key customer relationships and growth plans
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach
  • Strong team player with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions

Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies

  • Experience within energy sectors (Oil & Gas, Renewables, Industrial, Marine or Defence)
  • Exposure to technical product and service-based sales environments
  • Experience selling integrated or value-added solutions
  • Knowledge of working with Operators, EPCs or Service Companies
  • Familiarity with Hydrasun’s product and service offering (or similar technical ranges)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving revenue growth by identifying, targeting and converting high-value sales opportunities
  • Developing and executing strategic account plans across key customers
  • Proactively hunting new business opportunities within existing and new markets
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships across key accounts
  • Leading the approach to opportunity development and conversion, engaging internal stakeholders to maximise success
  • Managing and developing a robust sales pipeline, ensuring delivery against key KPIs and targets
  • Identifying customer needs and promoting added-value, integrated solutions
  • Supporting proposal development, tender submissions and commercial negotiations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system
  • Working collaboratively across internal functions to ensure customer expectations are consistently met
  • Monitoring competitor activity and contributing to market insight and strategy
