Declined Offer – Interviewed in Bloomington, MN (US) Jun 2010 – Reviewed Sep 09, 2012
Interview Details Interview was conducted by two department managers, one who would be my direct manager and another from a related department. The interview consisted of approximately 60 minutes of questions and answers. There seemed to be a focus on problem-solving, both conceptually and in past employment. Interviewers took turns asking questions, each taking the time to write while the other was talking. It was clear from the content of the interview that the company is very interested in finding people who fit the Ikea "culture". While this seems to have a positive effect on the overall quality of the work they perform, it seems as though it might be easy for a potential employee to be too-quickly cast as a bad fit.
Interview Question – Can you give me an example of how you have handled a situation in which a customer has clearly not been given good service and how you defused the situation? Answer Question
Reason for Declining – The wage offered was below my minimum requirements
Other Details - I applied online and the process took 2 weeks.
Overall Positive Experience
