I have been working at Target part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Some nice team members make the job tolerable.

    Cons

You may not get ahead unless you can program yourself to the "culture".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please have some respect for your employees! This is a stressfull work environment, especially with several team leaders spouting robotic orders all day long, without regard for your intelligence or common sense. They pay way too much attention to the corporate "lingo", and act as though someone is pulling a string on their backs to make them speak. I see very few team members smiling during the workday, as it seems they are somewhat intimidated, and are afraid to show any signs of personality or enjoyment. Watch out....when a manager gives you a big compliment on your work, he/she may criticize you the next day for something very trivial. I'm a middle aged man, and I have never been so disrepected in the workplace by managers less than half my age. I think you can "lose" yourself working here, and actually forget that you are a REAL human being!
