Pay is absurd for the level of experience and education they expect you to have. Further, there is zero wage transparency so you won't find out until 3 interviews into the hiring process that they expect you to take 20-40k less than anywhere else you can work. No wonder there's a shortage of employees.

As every other dept gets pay raises, behavioral health does not. Pay is even up to $4 lower and hour than the other nonprofits in the area, who have gotten steady payraises. The only excuse we get from Admin is, "our dept's quarterly revenue wasn't enough." Everyone in the dept has a degree, and all got hired with experience or have been in the job for years.
