How is management perceived at Carolina Restaurant Group?

Good training videos, cared about cleanliness and generally customers, Management received free food.

Overworked, GM often had a full crew, then night managers were left short 2 or 3 late crew and stayed until 5 and 5:30 sometimes when we were supposed to be out by 3 to 4 am. Pay was not commensurate with work load and pressure, employees made $7.25/hr. Managers sometimes received 2 cent raises at the end of the year, sometimes 0 cent raise. Left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Strong tenure of upper leadership and peers. Internal promotions and development opportunities. Detailed training. Fresh food with high standards.

Poor pay for hourly employees. Raises only allowed during appraisal times. No team member meals for free only managers.

Job security, they always need managers. Working with some of the teens and watching them grow was cool. You gain valuable experience in the industry.

No support, lack of accountability with DMs, basically expected to live at the store. You’re expected to be open, period. I’ve worked literally alone in the middle of Charlotte closing the store at midnight-bc it’s expected. No support. No support. No support. Lots of gossip within the management teams and not the greatest relationship between different store managers.
