Pros
Easygoing environment, room to make lateral moves to dispatch or the warehouse if you wanted, quarterly and annual bonuses, somewhat understanding direct management, lots of job options if you’re willing to move.
Cons
The job options are mostly at their headquarters in mount sterling, Illinois. The lateral moves usually come with pay decreases. Toxic work environments with lots of gossip that does not get dealt with and senior management even contributes to it. An unresponsive Human Resources department that lacks the ability to facilitate employee conflicts and resolutions. Repetitive work with not much room for advancement within the particular role of operations. Pay is not competitive and does not keep up with inflation well- despite what they preach. You are most certainly not safe in the environment as it can become hostile very easily. The turnover rate is laughable, I’ve never been at a job with so many people coming and going so quickly- with the exception of Amazon. You are truly replaceable at this job, even the former transportation manager Victoria Allison has said this to the drivers.
