What is the salary like at Galileo Learning?

Good pay, good management, and well thought out curriculum.

None, I honestly liked mostly everything about this job.

Good pay and flexibility in hours for position

New management has made the camp BORING. Like kids will be constantly coming up to you talking about how they’re bored.

It allows you to develop more confidence because you have to lead a group of 20-25 kids through different classes. It was fun at times because you could help the kids with their activities and it brought back childhood memories. The pay was decent and we got paid overtime.

If you don't enjoy spending time with kids, definitely this isn't the job for you. It's laborious because you have to run around and keep track of these kids that don't want to listen to you. The management was okay. They tried their best but we were overstaffed at one point so they sent some people home but then we ended up being understaffed at one point? It's a tiring job having to lead 20-25 kids yourself.

team culture is great, with collaboration and friendship promoted. The organization of the camps is great, with everything running smoothly even with 200+ campers in a week. The pay is good, and increases the longer you stay!

Can't think of any other than the early morning start time!

Some projects are difficult/challenging to complete well with all of the kids.

It was such an amazing experience to get to work as a Galileo summer instructor overall. The curriculum and pedagogical standards are engaging and top notch and I learned a lot from teaching it. The students were awesome and so sweet. There were some behavioral issues as with all groups of students but it was minimal overall. Support from coordinators and admin was great. We were all a team. The only downside was low pay (minimum wage) especially considering the hard work put in.

Camp directors work long hours in the summer during camp weeks and get paid on a salary during this time.
