      Understaffed and Overworked

      Coordinator
      Former employee
      Raleigh, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Flexible hours and scheduling - Good shifts (when available)

      Cons

      - Consistently given too many things to do in a single shift with little to no support - Working many days back-to-back with no time off

Great Job, but not all peachy.

      Gwa general warehouse associate
      Former employee
      Lordstown, OH
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

No fault hrs, PTO, VTO, Unionized, Laid back environment, Weekend shift Fri-Sun(36hrs), $1.50 shift differential, easy work in all departments, guaranteed work schedule, overtime

      Cons

Some leadership issues, several injuries and accidents, 12 hr shifts, ineffective union representation. Also there are a few overly zealous and vindictive staff members amongst the supervisors and reaching higher into the corporate office. This is a very large DC, which makes it a headache to travel between departments and breaks.

      Starter Position | Set Boundaries

      Retail store associate
      Former employee
      Stuart, FL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - 10% Discount, more on certain weekends - Follows work schedule you provide

      Culture First Environment

      Operations manager
      Current employee
      Lordstown, OH
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Pay is better than most, benefits are above average and culture is heavily focused on with being welcomed, valued and engaged.

      Cons

Need to be shift flexible, but good shifts, none of which are more than 4 days per week.

      Promotes bullying

      Cash office associate
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

I do enjoy my job and I get along with almost everyone I work with. I think it is a fun place to work, seeing all the new merchandise before it hits the floor is a nice perk.

      Cons

Keyholder that bullies associates and makes them walk out of their shift crying was promoted to ASM. It is a policy (from what I was told by another ASM that when you are promoted you cannot stay at that store because conflicts of interest) that they are relocated to another store but somehow they were able to stay. They make work a hostile environment for anyone that has issues with them. Absolutely horrible.

Great Job, but not all peachy.

      Seasonal Employee

      Sales associate
      Current employee
      Newburgh, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

10% discount even on clearance 20% discount lately it’s been monthly depending on how well the store does. As seasonal employee get 1 or 2 days a week about 10 hours/week, they keep you until it gets busy will get more hours.

      Cons

Short staff, at night one person on the register and 2 people on the floor.

      Wouldn’t recommend

      Merchandise associate
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      Free food and accommodating schedule.

      Cons

The mangers were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional, especially during the holiday season. The daily tasks are strenuous and unreasonable compared to the hourly pay. The customers are basically allowed to do whatever at the expense of the employees, not including the managers. If you’re not one of the favorites you’ll always be the busiest person during every shift, left doing the tasks no one else wants to. You aren’t valued at this company.

      Not recommended

      Sales associate/cashier
      Former employee
      Strongsville, OH
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Was an easy job in hindsight

      Cons

I don’t think i’ll even have enough words to describe. You could say the food & gift cards to their TJX stores or dunkin that they gave us was a “pro” besides for the fact that it was a distraction to the fact that they couldn’t afford to pay us more even thought it is a billion dollar company, then they ended up having to not schedule people for weeks due to them not having enough money. You’d expect a manager to step in and help when they see this workers drowning in work that’s for more than the 5 people they schedule in a shift to do everything. Not helping around the store, not helping that the registers, disappeared for hours with no words. Would do ANYTHING for us to not call managers up fro the front for help & when we did really need the help they’d take 10 minutes, during a BUSY saturday morning shift. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The easiest job i had ended up being the most draining. They only cared about doing things that would make them look good even if it meant breaking policies for awful customers because they demanded to, making the cashiers look dumb and them like the “hero” . Every.Time. And the petty manger I had would pick and choose which people he liked and talked about the ones he didn’t to the others. As a 30+ year old man and 90% his workers being from 16-20s.
