      Pros

Working on public safety is very fulfilling. Knowing that you are contributing to people's well being is a great feeling.

      Cons

We change CEOs every couple of years. It feels like the company is struggling. We recently lost what 401k match we had. The company doesn't even cover maintenance fees for the 401k anymore. Our medical gets worse every year. They started forcing people back into the office despite better productivity working from home. Communication around all of these was handled poorly. They actually didn't even bother to tell us about the 401k maintenance fees not being paid anymore. We found out be a notice from the 401k provider. Compensation tends to be below market. Work life balance is hit and miss depending on what team you are on. Merit increases don't even cover cost of living. The CEO just tells people to work harder to get better raises. I typically receive exceeding expectations ratings and can tell you it doesn't get you very much more than average ratings. There is little to no transparency around any topic that matters to employees.

Hello! We are glad you're feeling good about your team, schedule and having fun! We appreciate the feedback about the other items as well. In 2024 we made several enhancements to our benefits package to include lower deductibles and out of pocket maximums on health plans, increased employer match and immediate vesting with our 401k, added four company holidays for a total of 12, and increased paid time off. We continue to evaluate opportunities for further enhancements. We highly recommend discussing your concerns with accountability with your leadership team to see how they can help facilitate better collaboration and ownership. You can also reach out to HR@intrado.com with any specific concerns or questions that you'd like to have addressed. Thank you for your feedback!

Company no longer takes care of their employees.

      Pros

I had the privilege of working under some wonderful supervisors and management during my time at Intrado. Collaborating with most of my colleagues was a joy, and it led to lasting friendships. I valued the flexibility I had when needed, and despite changes, the vacation and sick time policies remained generous. Remote work played a crucial role in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. While the medical benefits were good, they were on the expensive side.

      Cons

The compensation consistently fell short of expectations. Whenever questioned about salary increases, the response was always that the company couldn't afford it. Layoffs were frequent, with recent ones leaving entire accounts with only high-level backup staff. Managers and supervisors tried to maintain morale, but they had little they could promise. The option to work fully remote was a significant advantage for many, especially given the low pay. However, the company kept leading everyone on from 2020 onwards. I was promised a promotion for years, only to be told that my focus should remain on the additional duties I had taken on before any consideration for advancement. Employee surveys became less frequent, and the topics seemed carefully chosen to avoid certain issues.
