What is the hiring process like at Kettering Health?

-Pay isn’t bad. -You have a lot of freedom to do things at your pace and order. -Management will likely be too busy with a full day of team’s meetings to watch you.

-This company is a Christian organization so their selection for a role is not always the best candidate. -Management enables incompetence. -The IS analysts at the company are USELESS. -An unfathomable amount of gatekeeping when it comes to learning new things. -The recruiting team is embarrassingly bad. Applying for positions within the company is an abysmal process and if you even want an interview you have to go behind their back and reach out to the manager hiring directly.

They have been understanding and willing to work with my changing schedule as I've returned to school. The direct manager has been wonderful, upper management might have unrealistic ideas that have added stress to our teams, but I truly feel our manager has done a great job supporting us and fighting for us.

The pay starting out was VERY low, this is my dream job, which I unfortunately told HR when being hired and after being offered the job and seeing the pay I was shocked. Their response was that they will find someone who will accept the low pay if I don't. This hurt considering I had done my clinical rotation here meaning I had 8 weeks of hands on training prior to hiring me but they said that didnt matter. So, know they pay based on years of experience. With that said, I have been pleased with how they have handled yearly raises.

The people are kind and that is the only thing most of the time

Management is horrible. This hospital used to be so good. Now its all about getting patients out of those rooms and a new patient in the bed as fast as they can so they can make. MONEY

Good processes during onboarding and they had pre employment training

The company wasn't bad but I did not have a good experience at the location where I worked
