What is working from home like at RTX?

      RTX reviews

      Good company - poor management

      Information systems security manager (issm)
      Former employee
      El Paso, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great benefits, 401k, Vision, Dental, get 120 hrs of PTO from day one to use. AD&D and regular insurance as well as longterm and short term disability. Ability to reach out to other coworkers and ask for help or to offer help to others. You dont necessarily have to re-invent the wheel. Someone probably already used that tool, dealt with that problem etc. Great work life balance, some business units offer 4/10 or 9/80 as well as remote work.

      Cons

Constant restructure of business units. This doesnt allow an employee to build a relationship with their manager or worse show what you have to offer. Seems like every 6 months you get a new boss who is in another state.

      Business outlook

      Pros

Regular three day weekends were awesome for vacation planning.

      Cons

It’s not what you know at RTX… it’s who. Not competitive with pay. They play dirty, with clean hands. Removed work from home flexibility and guilt trip you anytime you need to work from home now. Felt very micro-managed as of late.
