What is the hiring process like at Rad Power Bikes?

I have worked here for nearly 5 years total and have always been treated fairly and compassionately by everyone at the company. I wish it was like that at every workplace! I took a break and worked elsewhere for about 9 months, but ultimately came back because the people are so wonderful to work with here. The company seems to truly live its values of approachable, accountable, etc.

Rad is very much a startup. The past 5 years have brought lots of changes, ups and downs, heavy hiring and then layoffs... etc. It's exciting and always interesting, but if you are someone who values stability and predictability I would recommend looking elsewhere. I personally thrive in dynamic environments that ask for me to cross train and continually learn new things!

At first, they were great and seemed like they cared about employees and customers. People were able to move up and help in other places within the company. Their culture and values were amazing.

After a few months, new ownership came in and changed everything. Everyone was scared that they might be let go at any moment. Everything that made this place a wonderful place to work went away overnight and they started to randomly.
