What is the salary like at Resmed?

High workload, can be overwhelming at times

Slow moving projects, surprisingly not the most innovative in the field, projects dragging out forever, PDM and product management operate as if they don't work for the same company.

I've worked for a variety of companies(corporate, startup, agency) and I can say this is by far the best company I have worked for. Great pay, benefits, and culture.

I've seen a few times now where they promote people to high-level positions in the company without actual experience.

The company underwent massive reorgs starting in October 2023 and people are just disappearing because they spoke up at some point and are targeted for dismissal under the guise of "your job is being eliminated"... hard to justify that when you're already advertising for an opening that covers 90-95% of what the eliminated person was doing. Bad behavior is tolerated as long as you're falling in line with what leadership wants to happen. Senior leaders have no strategic vision. The company's cult of personality revolves around the CEO being the son of the founder, so whatever he wants has to happen, and he's very reactive to whatever's happening at the moment so everyone has to jump in immediately to fulfill his desires. Company is prioritizing short-term tactical deliverables over long-term growth just to show progress they can use to juice the stock price. Culture is rapidly deteriorating as the uncertainty around job security and constant reorgs and rapid changes in direction mount.

Good pay and fair working environment with management

A lot of co workers who were racist to each other and a lot of bullying

There's a lot of emphasis on growth as an intern and my team was particularly helpful in helping me grow as a professional.

The pay is not as high as other tech companies.

The pay is good and the engineers are friendly.

Management is extremely political, toxic, and will micromanage you to death. Upper management wants to reduce redundant work but at any given time there are a minimum of three groups all competing to be seen as the ones who are innovating in an area. This leads to poor results, half baked solutions, and overall more inefficiencies. They are obsessed with setting overly aggressive timelines and management never asked engineers for their input before a deadline is set. Nobody is allowed to have a counter argument about anything. Only managements opinion matters, and questioning it results in punishment. Giving honest and clear status reports about a project that contain bad news will result in punishment. Over all if you wanna go to a place and never grow then this is the place for you. You’ll drown in mediocre bureaucrats and end up hating your life.

Working at ResMed has been an incredible experience. The company culture is supportive and inclusive, with excellent communication channels. I love my boss and team, who are both skilled and caring. ResMed offers numerous development opportunities and competitive pay and benefits. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a rewarding career.
