Toxic employees are ignored or promoted. I experienced a bad manager who was never wrong. They made changes without communicating and expected the team to not be upset about it. They made the job more difficult and limited the team's ability to support the business. HRs action on the situation resulted in low morale and lack of confidence in the handling of toxicity. We got a new boss that was great but the damage had already been done. Lack of communication.

Some good people exist but unfortunately they are less hence can’t survive this siloed environment

If you value your peace of mind and mental health, please steer clear. Environment is highly toxic and operates on ‘tribal culture’ where they protect their own even at the cost of dysfunctionality. Gatekeeping knowledge, hoarding information, Zero documentation is the norm and work culture here. So if you are a new person joining the company, join with the mindset that you are being setup as the fallback guy for this dysfunction. Absolutely NO onboarding/transition support and God forbid if you are a structured, process oriented guy, you will be labelled ‘difficult to work with’ by this tribe.
