Does there seem to be diversity at Tanium?

      Tanium reviews

      Avoid. Was Great. Not Anymore

      Vice president
      Current employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Used to be good. Current CEO and leadership team, lacks vision and capability. Will be a future business school study on how a once-great tech unicorn was run into the ground did a poor leadership and lack of vision.

      Cons

immature, and incapable leadership. Lack of innovation in the product. No diversity CEO lax accountability to the team and is fake. Zero regard for customer success. Only focused on IPO and the company will never get there with the current leader leadership..

good wlb and pay; engineering culture is a hit and miss.

      Pros

good pay, work life balance, exposure to work on industry standard tech-stacks, you will enjoy the work if you like cybersecurity/endpoint management domain.

      Cons

      - engineering culture is a hit and miss; some devs are great to work with, while some are passive-aggressive. This make the workplace less pleasant to show up everyday with your authentic self. - development team lacks diversity and tend to be male-dominated.

      Tanium is a nice surprise

      Pros

Tanium has an inclusive culture where you feel welcomed and empowered to be yourself from the very beginning. It's easy to connect with the leadership team, and the company is committed to doing the right thing by helping to protect and enhance IT environments. I'm proud to have such an employer.

      Cons

      The benefit could be better.

A little chaotic, but nonetheless good

      Territory sales manager
      Former employee

      Business outlook

      Pros

Tanium actually feels like a place you can be great at. The company has great values and a flat hierarchy. It genuinely feels like they care about you and your success. There is a clear path in career development for every role. They live diversity and inclusion.

      Cons

Unfortunately selling the software is quite difficult. The product is great, but you need to license your whole organisation, so entry prices are high (like everywhere in IT Security really) With no Gartner magic Quadrant listing it’s almost impossible to get anyone to risk being an early starter.

Culture was great, vision not so much

      Business outlook

      Pros

The inclusive culture was awesome. Offsite were well planned. Benefits were the best I’d ever had!

      Cons

The overall vision was lacking. Tanium was poised to take over the security space, but decided to go with the “safe” bet of things more along the lines of what the founders had done previously

      Great Company, room for improvement

      Business outlook

      Pros

Across all teams, it does feel like one team one fight and everyone wants the company to succeed

      Cons

Lack of diversity, definitely needs more.

I don't think of any cons.

      Culture Eats Tanium for breakfast

      Vice president
      Former employee

      Business outlook

      Pros

Tanium’s Core is a rarity in enterprise software providing solutions to some of the most complex security, compliance and infrastructure management challenges. There are really smart people here and the conviction on the solution is well founded.

      Cons

The company has been through multiple shifts in market identity. The leadership made poor decisions that would didnt keep Crowdstrike, Armis, Wiz, Dazz and many others from gaining traction. The metrics aren’t good if you dig in. turn over is high, attainment per rep, region, area is sporadic and low. There is a strange mask over the good ol boy network that actually runs this company. The older school attitude of, “the beatings will continue with my until performance improves” will continue to stymie growth.
