I recently accepted an offer at Twin Health and am compelled to share my enthusiasm about this incredible opportunity. Twin Health stands out with its mission-driven product aimed at making a positive change in the world through meaningful health outcomes. The dedication to impact is palpable, led by an unwavering CEO whose commitment to building a robust business while affecting global change is truly inspiring. The team at Twin Health is nothing short of brilliant—possessing both the IQ and EQ that are crucial in today’s healthcare landscape. The hiring process was seamless and efficient, characterized by quick decision-making and the opportunity to meet the right people without delays. I am excited to contribute to an organization that values innovation and prioritizes making a genuine difference in people's lives. Twin Health is the place for anyone looking to work in a place where they can truly impact the world.

      Pros

My Opinion: This review aims to guide those considering a job at Twin Health with insight to make informed decisions about their professional growth. Based on my experience, I strongly advise against working for this company unless you are at the very beginning of your career or in need of a temporary position. If you currently hold a VP, Director, or higher role, you will likely be disappointed working for Twin Health. My review in summary, unless you are seeking a stopgap job or are early in your career, Twin Health is not the place for you. The executive team’s inexperience and the company's structural inefficiencies make it an unsuitable environment for seasoned professionals looking for meaningful career advancement and a supportive, dynamic workplace. Pros: While the core components of their diabetes program are well-designed and can be transformative for individuals managing diabetes, these are overshadowed by the glaring issues within the company's executive and operational structure. The concept and mission are commendable. Twin is a remote first company and offers unlimited PTO. Unfortunately, these are the only notable benefits of working at Twin Heath.

      Cons

Executive Leadership: Having been with the company for a significant period, I have observed that the executive team, particularly the CEO and two other top executives, are unknowingly undermining the organization's potential due to their glaring lack of experience and inept decision-making. Their obstinance and inability to acknowledge their own deficiencies create pervasive challenges that threaten the sustainability of the company. Rather than empowering their teams and leveraging the expertise of the experienced employees they hire, the leadership team engages in excessive micromanagement, stifling innovation and progress by acting as gatekeepers instead of enablers. This team is plagued by indecisiveness, struggling to make even the most straightforward decisions, which has severely compromised credibility. Trust in this team continues to erode due to their poor hiring choices at the executive level. The turnover rate among new executive team members is alarmingly high, with an average tenure of about two years. During my tenure, I have witnessed the departure of five executive team members. The CEO dismisses this turnover as "hiring mistakes," but this explanation falls short. The reality is that seasoned professionals quickly discern the deep-seated issues within the team and opt to leave. The turnover is a critical impediment that is actively harming the organization's trajectory and potential for success. The detrimental impact of mismanagement cannot be overstated, and it is imperative for the company's future that changes are made at the executive level. Employee Benefits: The employee benefits at Twin Health fail to incentivize or reward hard work. There are no bonuses, annual salary increases are minimal, and promotions are exceedingly rare. When promotions do occur, they come with a significant increase in responsibility and workload, yet the accompanying pay increase is negligible. While there is an equity plan in place, grants are scarce and unlikely to hold any substantial value at the current trajectory. Furthermore, the company offers no reimbursement for job-specific training or budget for attending industry-related events, stifling professional growth and development. Although Twin Health hosts an annual company party with paid flights and hotel stays, this is a superficial gesture that does little to address employee compensation. The lack of substantial benefits and incentives has created an unenthusiastic atmosphere, with employees feeling undervalued and underappreciated. This, in turn, leads to high turnover rates, further compounding operational inefficiencies. Operationally: Communication across the organization is disastrously weak, leading to basic operations becoming unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. With the exception of the engineering team, most departments are chronically understaffed. During my tenure there has been no budget to increase staffing levels in my area which has resulted in increased workloads without corresponding financial incentives, career growth opportunities, or job perks. This has fostered an unenergetic atmosphere, marked by a significant lack of employee engagement. As a hiring manager at Twin Health, you will face significant challenges in both attracting and retaining talent. For individual contributors, the prospects for career advancement are bleak.
