Pros
I made a few work friends.
I found a new job ASAP!!
Cons
Terrible work life balance and made guilty to ask to have balance.
Manager David M. terrible communication skills, awful attitude towards his employees. When questions were asked of him he couldn’t be bothered, because you should just KNOW the answers as a brand new employee.
Paid more in parking, commute, healthcare, taxes than I made (close!!)
Very poor moral. First day on job other employees told me I was going to hate it there.
Not a cup, a coffee, a water cooler, a spoon in the break room. This is an extremely profitable organization bilking celebrities for millions and they can’t provide even coffee for employees.
Filthiest laptop I have ever laid eyes on! I was issued a laptop my first week and when I opened it I almost vomited. It was clearly used as someone’s lunch lap for decades as it was that disgusting. The IT guy who gave it to me couldn’t understand the problem.
Not a bit of onboarding. No UCLA training nothing. Actually I was told to train the trainer on workflows of UCLA right after I started. David the manager got angry when I asked where these workflows might be since I also needed the training.
No leeway to wfh even though we were all IT.
