      toxic working environment

      Business outlook

      Pros

they paid you on time and they provided really great insurance

      Cons

really toxic working environment, unlimited working hours, they wouldn't let you go unless you finish all the work, the store is big but they always put a few people for weekend night shift, no ending task but very limited man-hours, they forced you to finish all the stuffs within a very short time. Besides, they always lied about promotion so that they could keep you trapped but they've never keep their promises. The management always did things against the law, like they forced you to work overtime and they asked you to come back early on next shift, I didn't even have enough time to sleep.

      Cons

9 hour shift makes it difficult to do other jobs while employed, Management is under constant pressure that trickles down to employees

A great job to started in the retail sector

      Sales associate
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - All your duties and responsibilities are clearly delegated by your managers - Lots of coworkers which can make things fun - Working with great products/clothes - great environment - Managers were very active in wanting to move you up

      Cons

      - Corporate sometimes expected unnecessary/tedious things from their coworkers (such as reviewing several of their clothes EVERY SHIFT, which I thought was odd) - It's retail... a lot of work, customers, and tedious work

      Invest in comfortable shoes

      Seasonal sales associate
      Current employee
      Macquarie
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - My branch had friendly coworkers - Repetitive but stimulating day to day work schedule - Varying in allocated tasks per member changing daily - My branch is very close to the top floor car park so it was very quick to leave the mall and quick walk to the metro station - You build good customer service skillset in understanding how to speak to customers

      Cons

      - Walking, walking, walking. You are constantly on your feet unless on breaks so you really get sore feet after each shift - Depending on which branch you work you might have a chill team or a really clique-y setting - Only slightly above minimum wage, especially depending on your age - There's an expectation to always be on the lookout for customers so you might struggle if you're leaning on the shy side. Needs strong communication skills
