What is the hiring process like at WinCo Foods?

      WinCo Foods reviews

      Easy job, poor management

      Cashier
      Former employee
      Arlington, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

cashier position was easy codes were simple enough to remember for produce hardly dealt with angry customers

      Cons

schedule was updated at weird times. you could work a late shift and then expected to come in at 7am the next day. short staffed. pay was low for the amount of hours you worked. you could be scheduled between 10 hours to 40 hours as part time depending on needs. not a great job if you are looking to work at least 2 jobs.

Some things to know before applying

      Bakery clerk
      Former employee
      Edmonds, WA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Easy going and understanding boss. (As long as you take responsibility for yourself) Straight forward job for the most part. Good on the job training from not only management but fellow employees. You can always find something to do to keep busy in the building. Some of the best and most friendly co-workers I have ever had. Would not trade that for the world.

      Cons

This is not a good first-time job. I've seen that time and time again. There are lots of elements to juggle. Corporate has recently really been cracking down on not accumulating overtime to the point of disciplinary action from management if you stay late. So you must do everything you can to remain on track. For the last couple years there has been a new head of the company they have made several changes to cut costs that really screwed over some of the employees. Such as consolidating Deli and Seafood into one department and therefore taking a management position away from one employee at each store.
